About the role
By far one of the most important roles in our practice, you will be the face of the business and the first person a patient will see. The job is very varied, from answering telephone calls to processing sick note requests and from dealing with emergency appointments to navigating patients to the most suitable person to deal with their problem, not one day is the same. This is an exciting & fast paced role and you will be an integral part of our team working alongside our GPs, murses, healthcare professionals and other admin staff.
Skills & requirements
You’ll need to be highly organised, flexible and have the ability to prioritise effectively. Be friendly & welcoming and work with patience and understanding. You may deal with people who are angry or upset and you must be able to work in a team but have the ability to use your own initiative. In addition we are looking for soemone who can:
- follow instructions and procedures
- work accurately and methodically
- work with all types of people
- deal with people in a variety of situations
- be confident using the phone
This is a rewarding job and although you may not have experience of working in a GP practice, excellent customer service skills are vital as well as good levels of literacy & numeracy.
