Patients in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine.

People can prove their vaccination status by

  • Using the NHS app to display this information or print out a PDF from the app confirming their vaccine status;
  • You can ask for a paper version of your COVID-19 vaccination status to be sent to you in the post. You should get this within 5 working days. You do not need to be registered with a GP surgery or have an NHS login for this. You can get a paper version by: requesting a letter online calling 119 – do not call 119 if you’re travelling in more than 4 weeks’ time

Just like a normal passport, make sure to leave plenty of time before you set off on holiday to apply for your Vaccine Passport. If you’re getting the #NHSApp for the first time, it can take up to (time) so that your identity can be verified. If you’re not able to use the App, as long as you’ve had two doses of the vaccine, you can receive a paper copy by ringing 119 and one will be posted to you within five working days.
